ABOUT US

I.L.T, which stands for “I Love This, I Love That,” was born from the tight-knit friendship and close collaboration between Ana Quesnel and her late father, Andrés. Since her childhood years, Ana spent countless hours at her father’s workshop in awe of his practice: meticulously crafted gowns and womenswear of the utmost quality. Throughout the years, they would bounce ideas off of each other and call out cultural elements that they admired: from 1950s baseball and classic cars, to vintage sports and street life. Together as accomplices, they amassed an almanac and visual vocabulary of design elements, iconography, and typefaces, as a secret code between the two of them. Nonetheless, things took a turn. At the onset of the 2020 global pandemic, Andrés lost his life to Covid-19—prematurely truncating the joint dream of seeing I.L.T out in the world. In the months that followed, Ana took the challenge of completing the designs and continued building on her father’s legacy. She was then joined by her cousin, Andreas Frank Quesnel, whose expertise in fashion, photography, and digital marketing jump started a new chapter for I.L.T. Back to the drawing board, they bonded deeper over their shared passion for cars and clothing, seeking out to build something that goes far beyond a fashion brand and actually touches on many hobbies and passions—ones that they are keen to share. Working between Houston and New York, the new business partners sought out to design and manufacture a clothing line of the highest quality for the modern man. Each item is carefully designed to mix and match with each other, allowing for spontaneity and personalization, while keeping a style that lingers between casual and chic.
